First of all wow absolutely beautiful not just the trail head but the elevation and the views surreal. We started our journey by waiting at the police station while the campground was open. Once paid we proceded to go to the destination. On our ascend we the first 2 miles are one hell of a calf burner but nothing too major. Once the 2nd mile it levels out and is a beautiful brisk walk down the trail.  Not alot of snow to be seen some here and there but nothing you cant pass through. 4th mile is when you start going up hill again nothing to extreneous. Once at the fire tower the views… My lord beautiful i was speechless amazing trully amazing. Right there and then i told my self im coming back here. We passed 4 hikers so we had the summit all to ourselves. We did what we needed at the tower and headed to the summit. Pretty forest like walk. There was no way of me carrying my dog up so i told her to stay while i check things out. Beutiful views. We went back to the fire tower and relaxed for a bit before our descend. We were there for a good half hour till the first hiker appeared. I gotta say we are fast walkers. While we got our strenght back 2 other hikers appeared. We decided to leave now the descend its a piece of cake since everything is downhill we decided to run some of the way to make it more fun. We encounter a good amount of hikers along the way back but nothing to crowded it was sure a nice sunday morning we ended up doing the whole 10 miles in less than 3 hours. Will definitely do it again.
