Mt Baldy, best described in my opinion as Beauty and the Beast. It doesn’t matter which route you take to the summit, whether it’s through the Ski Hut or Bear Canyon or in my case Devil’s Backbone Trail, this peak will make sure you earn every step of the way. Although some areas of the trail still has remnants of snow for the most part the trail is passable, no microspikes needed. The summit was full of exhausted but happy faces and the sun was beaming with the right amount of cold wind. It was a beautiful day to bag a peak and that’s exactly what I did. Happy Trails.
