This was my first solo hiking adventure! About 30 minutes into my hike as I became more isolated in the mountains on the trail, I had this incredible euphoric moment of just me, the trail, and the quiet morning air. The trail was well maintained and almost easy the first couple miles. But when it came time to push… it was a push! I was thrilled by how strong and capable my body felt, especially through the minor rock scrambling in places. I managed to get to the peak in 2 hours which felt like a great amount of time for me. This was such a blissful and encouraging hike to start off my challenge! My climbs only get bigger from here and I can’t wait to see where I go!
