We decided to hike to Ontario Peak & Bighorn Peak, so it was a long day but well worth it. Icehouse canyon trail is a gorgeous trail that had so much to look at including streams, waterfalls, cabins, ruins and many different species of trees. The weather was cooler and the wind brought on a chill which at required an extra layer and gloves. We took many breaks towards the top of the trail and stopped to enjoy the view at the ridge between Ontario Peak and Bighorn Peak. The view is amazing along that whole ridge . You’re looking down onto clouds getting an eagle’s eye view of the valley. Ontario Peak has the same view but from a higher perspective with an old dead tree marking the spot. There’s a set of rocks to the left that gives a good vantage point and makes for awesome summit photos.
