Trail was partially wet and muddy. Cool weather, forecast said 30s/40s. Felt like it was in the 50s/60s. Ideal weather to hike this trail as some sections of the trail are exposed. A variety of vegetation grows along the trail, a delight to the eyes and soul. On the peak, one gets to admire the expanse of the Cleveland National Forest. Today, the sky was full of bright white, cotton candy like clouds that casted shadows on the vegetation below. An island could be seen on this clear day. On the way back to the trail head, gray clouds moved in. A beautiful trail hiked on an ideal day and time.
