My hubby and I started out at 6:30 am on Bear Canyon Trailhead.  It was cold, but we layered.  It didn't take long to get warmed up and the layers to start coming off.  The majority of the way up was easy to follow and climb the trail.  The last part of the trail up to the peak was fairly steep.  We thought it would be difficult to climb back down, but it wasn't.  The peak was not crowded.  There were a few people there when we arrived, and then we were alone for a bit.  Then, a group of men arrived.  When we were heading down, we saw a lot of people on their way up.  The bugs were not too bad, but we did use bug spray.  The views were nice, and it was an overall enjoyable hike.  We stopped at the Candy Store for an ice-cream before we headed to our car.  We stopped at the falls on our way down the road and hiked a bit by the water.  It was a fun and adventurous day.
