What a beautiful day! Trail was pretty crowded but weather was perfect. No bugs, no poison oak that we saw (fingers crossed). Chilly 9am start was 45 degrees but as soon as we got on the sunny trail I peeled off all the layers. Perfect winter hike. I’m grateful for a couple ladies who keep up a good pace (I go so slow when left to my own devices) and great conversation. Next time I’ll probably take my poles – but the scramble up the last half mile was fun! And then all of a sudden, you’re there. Looking forward to doing this again with my family, and wondering if my 10-year-old is up for it yet.
