July 1st, 2019 I got to Underhill State Park Campground to Eagles Cut Trailhead Parking. From Eagles Cut Trail I started my journey onto my fifth peak of the Six Pack of Peaks Challenge: New England

I took the Eagles Cut Trail up to Sunset Ridge Trail up to Mount Mansfield Summit at The Chin then followed via the Long Trail to the Forehead. Proceeded back down to the CC Road then to Eagles Cut Trailhead.

Start of the hike it was cloudy and hiked in the fog but once above tree line and up near the summit gave way to 360 views. Definitely a challenging hike up and back down. When going up the trail was wet and slippery from previous days rain and by the time I crossed to the Forehead the route down was mostly dry but extremely steep and challenging in spots near the Forehead.

Weather was perfect, definitely a challenging hike and very rewarding views. Definitely worth the hike!
