We started the hike at around 8 am. The weather conditions was a perfect example overcast for the most of the hike. This made the hike easier. I have heard stories of how difficult this hike could be when it’s sunny. I could totally believe that since some of the trail is very exposed. We came across a not so difficult river crossing and crossed it easily stepping rocks in the river. The water was up to two feet high at points but we managed to cross without getting our socks wet. The climb up was pleasant at a slow pace. Lunch at the summit and off to wok on the ridge for another 10 miles or so. Made it back to the parking lot by 5:30.
