Great hike following Elden from the previous day. O’Leary is beautiful but just so dang boring. It was my third time hiking this trail so I took my time hiking up since the feet were a little tired from the previous day. Hiking down I set a goal to be off trail by 10:30. I jogged every other mile, despite how tired I was and how warm it was getting. Finished the hike by 10:20. This was a bonus hike for me so I could complete seven of the eight hikes this season (Wilson is forever omitted from my hiking plans, lol). Clear partially cloudy skies… great views… tons of butterflies… bugs at the top were awful.. spent only about 10 minutes at the top. 23,000 steps total. Great day.
