Started this peak at around 7 AM. My group and I did not encounter any hikers most of the way up. There were some cars and motor bikes going up. Due to our start time we had plenty of shade. About 3 1/2 miles up we ran into another hiking group that was returning from their summit and a group of trail runners. When we got to the summit we had a picnic and wait for the rest of our group to make it.

Our way back down was not as pleasant. We got the mid day heat and this made the trail and experience horrible. The sun was shining on us and we had zero shade. The bugs were out and ready to land on you for some shade. There were also caravans of cars coming down that kicked up a lot of dust!

Overall the views were beautiful and the actual trail is not hard, but the heat, dirt and bugs make this peak one of my least favorite.

Glad that I did it as this is peak number five for me 🙂
