It couldn't have been more beautiful on March 16th, the day of our Mt. Diablo loop summit hike. Despite unseasonal warm temps, our mini group of 4 hikers sweated our way over Twin Peaks, Eagle Peak, and on to the summit. Trail conditions were optimal – dry and perfect. I realized soon up that my 1 camel back of water might not suffice, and was grateful for the running water at the summit. It is always a great moment to reach the top there. We took our time on the descent, and still kept our time under what we'd reckoned with. 14 miles, almost 3,500 elevation, and we were proud of our results!
