Camped out at the Los Coyotes Campground the night before. Got down into the 20s. Was difficult to get moving at first but it was a nice cool clear day. There was still patches of snow off the sides of the trail. Had the trail all to ourselves. Only encountered the ranger patrolling. Decent birding.
