Well I knew when I was setting off on the trail at 10am that I should have started earlier because people were flooding down the trail. It was already hot and with the little tree cover it took longer than expected since I was needing to rest in very bit of shade I could find. I took the direct Peak Trail which is steep so then for the descent took Eagle Loop trail which the less steep and had the unexpected benefit of having a water spiggit at the campground which was perfect to help cool off from the heat!

Yikes! 10am is a late start for this trail at this time of year. Thanks for the heads up about the water at the campground. Good to keep in mind.
