Started a little bit later than I normally do, not a problem tho, the weather was still cool. There were a lot of other people on the trail but no matter it was still quiet and peaceful. I has seen a few deer on the way up before the tree line. At the summit it was windy and cold. Being from Yuma I was not prepared for how cold I was up there. Beautiful views all around, nice clear day, just late enough for the mist to be burned off but not too hot. I will go back and bring my pup next time.

Fantastic panorama, Mitchell!
FWIW, I’ve used a rule of thumb of -10 degrees cooler for every 1000 feet of elevation gained. Not a hard and fast rule, but useful to be prepared for what it might be.
