What a morning! Today felt like Hunger Games at the summit as well as, along the trail. I had the privilege of running intoSoCal Six Pack of Peaks Challengers #164, #20, #19, #530, #100something, #160, #243, #I dont know, and #I forgot mine. I'm sure there were so many more olong the trail that I didn't get to see or engage.

My morning start at 0630 from the Bear Canyon Trailhead. The trail was in great condition. Just a few muddy spots and some rutted areas along the way. I was the third person to the summit this morning. I likely spent about an hour up there talking to other challengers and non-challengers. On the descent I opted to take the more gradual but overgrown route. It was a little bit of a bushwack but felt so much better on my knee. I was joined by another hiker who also wanted to have a little less stress on the knee.

My day was a little longer than expected, but I was rewarded with an awesome descent and some great conversations with fellow hikers. Oh, can't leave out all the Canine Kids that were talking there humans for hikes.  What a great day shared with great people that I don't even know and a few new friends!
