Super fun hike! We arrived early 6:00 AM  and parked on wildcat canyon road and began hiking.  The hike is  a little challenging in that you need to stay focused on the trail due to loose sand gravel and rocks. You will  encounter trail markers on the way which will give you a visual indication of your progress and what you can expect to encounter in the next mile…. keeping you in the game…. Lots of beautiful vistas for photography but our hike day was overcast….and somewhat cooling …. i cant really imagine you would want to do this hike in the summer… unless your into that sort of misery… I carried about 4 liters of water and only used half of it.  We  had a nice lunch up on top and then headed down at the half way  I started to have a little knee pain  on the down hill sections very annoying…. we reached the cars at about 1:30 all in all  a great day!!!!
