The morning was extremely cold. I remember talking with my friends and shivering as we waited for everyone to arrive. The morning was extremely dark so we had to use our headlights, we would only be able to see without them a few hours later. The hike was pretty bearable surprisingly. Going up was a tiring but I talked with my friends through most of it. Halfway up I ate my friends entire bag of dried strawberries. When me and my friend made it up we sat with our small group as we waited for the rest of the troop to arrive. There we met some friendly folk and we talked about the six pack of peaks challenge. We talked about the sign for the Peak being stolen, or fallen off, since the sign wasn't there no matter where we looked. There we ate our food, my friend even gave me some food as encouragement for the second peak that I would be hiking that day. The bugs weren't bad but there were a few wasps so I wore a funny looking mosquito net.
