Trail snow-covered at times – Gear and expertise recommended

What a beautiful, sunny day with perfect temperature for hiking San Jacinto!

The trail was mostly snow packed. Micro spikes are recommended as it can get slippery, especially on the way down. Route finding was easy with the path packed down by other hikers. It's an easy trail with altitude being the main thing slowing my pace. It took me 3 hours to get to the summit and just under 2 to get down, total distance 10.6 miles and 4,200ft in elevation gain.
