I started my hike at 5:30 am.  I was getting bitten by mosquitoes.  The hike up Marion Mountain Trail is steep.  When the day got bright, the wilderness is beautiful and scenic.  There was a lot of interesting rock formations.  There are down trees blocking the trail, but I was able to hop over them.  Beautiful scenery up the PCT.  When I arrived at Little Round Valley Campground, there were some campers in the area.  Little Round Valley Campground is a beautiful area to camp.  Reaching the summit required me to do some rock climbing.  It's an amazing view up in the summit.  Unfortunately, the visibility was poor due to the haze and smoke from the Apple Fire.  On my way down I visited the Mount San Jacinto's Peak Shelter.  I was getting tired on the way down so I had to pace myself.  Marion Mountain Trail was so brutal on the way down, it cause me to develop a pain on my left knee.  I arrived at the trail head at 5:00 pm.  I will hike Mount San Jacinto again on a clear day, so I can enjoy the magnificent view of Southern California.
