This was a special day to bag my first peak challenge on Independence Day!  Started our hike early in the morning (got to the trailhead at 7:00 am), temperatures were climbing as we were experiencing record breaking heatwaves.  We still saw many pretty wildflowers that managed to survive the heat.  We sure were feeling patriotic hiking along with our mini USA flags and red, white & blue swag!
