Perfect hiking weather for this girl.  Started at 46 and ended at 54.  I took enough water and then some for the 10 miles but came home with 2 liters out of 5.  There isn't any water on this hike so be prepared for that.  I got to the parking lot around 6:40 a.m. and the cars were piling in by 7:00 a.m.  There is a pretty good size lot for parking.  And if you don't know, the trailhead is across the street from the parking lot.

It was cool with beautiful blue skies.  Flowers were starting to bloom, birds were singing.  White puffy clouds in the sky!  Just beautiful.  I love hiking in early spring.

There were several people who started before me.  By the time I made it to the top there was a small group of friends before me.  Then a couple of people showed up in the 30 minutes I enjoyed at the top.

Preserve some energy for that last 1/4 mile.  It is bad enough going up to the top.  Coming down seemed a little treacherous at times.  But Dory & I made it safely back to the candy store and then went in and I got her version of an Orange Julius, which was delicious, and a cinnamon apple scone, also delicious.
