Well, I really didn't want to do this hike again. But thanks to 2020 and all its challenges between fires and forest closures I was left with little choice.

The morning was quite cold, but it warmed up nicely.   Surprisingly, the hike was bug free!? That was a first!  We had an enjoyable hike, despite not a lot of wildlife.  Just a few birds.

The last bit the scramble up wasn't as bad this time. When we arrived at the top I was happy to be there. You could see Catalina! And even LA buildings!

The best part was I made it down without slipping and tearing my shoulder again, like I did last year!

The blue mug in the photo was my Grandfathers, he was an avid Hiker and camper. He has been gone for many years now, I plan on taking this mug with me on all my hikes as a way to honor his memory. 🙂
