The views from Kendrick were very kind, but the drive from Williams krazy. It took us an hour and twenty minutes to drive the 30 miles to get there. Once you get off the I40 most of the rest of the way is a very bumpy cinder road that in my four wheel drive I could not drive comfortably over 10 mile an hour. We figured out going home that it is faster taking the 171 to the I40 at Bellemont and head back to Williams from there.
The hike itself was definitely difficult, hard, and challenging on the way up. As you ascend, the trail becomes narrower, rockier, and frequently blocked by downed trees that you will have to climb over. But the views grow ever more spectacular as you gain altitude. You are well rewarded for the hard work. At 273ft from the peek you come across the over 100 year old look out cabin. From there you can look up and see the current look out tower, Your destination. The day we went the monsoon clouds had rolled in. This gave us spectacular views of areas of the valley below being showered in rain and billows  of white clouds hovering over the hills and flat lands below. Ended up getting caught in the rain and running down about a mile to the trailhead. Rain became a downpour in the parking lot!
This is a hike we would definitely recommend to anyone. Kudos for Kendrick !

Great trip report! Kendrick has been a favorite for many challengers this year.
Thank you, and yes, after 5 peaks I’d say it’s been in the top 2, (Bear Mtn might have been my fav views…)
