This is my second Peak hike for 2020 and my first in San Diego. Although the is short (9.4 miles out and back), it's quite a workout. There is alot of rock climbing. I was pretty sad that the old tree rotted and was uprooted. This tree was a halfway distance marker from the trailhead to the parking lot.
As usual, the Potato Chip Rock is heavily trafficked place. When I got on the Potato Chip Rock, I had to waited a good 15 minutes in line for photos. But it was all worthy it when it was my turn to take awesome photos on the Potato Chip Rock.
After my Potato Chip Rock photos, J hiked up to Mt. Woodson which is only 1/2 mile from the Potato Chip Rock. I looked everywhere for the Peak sign and markers. But I couldn't find any.
Coming down from Mt. Woodson, I ran into Hiking For Heroes hiking group. I thanked their leader, Eric, for their support of our Veterans and Servicemen who are connect to Mother Nature. As an Army Brat, I applaud and salute them for their generosity and compassion for our Veterans and Servicemen…
