This was the most difficult and longest hike I have ever done. I'm super proud of myself for finishing it 🙂 We completed it on a Thursday afternoon and should have started earlier since it was not in the shade and it hit 90 degrees that day! The trail conditions were good. It was quiet, we only saw 9 other people on the trail. I did have to stop a few times the last mile to catch my breathe and give my legs a little break as they were getting shaky but once I reached the top it was all worth it. Beautiful views from the top of this peak and so quiet and peaceful. Coming down was easier for me, I felt like running part of it and it took less time to come down (I figured that would happen). We completed this hike in 3 hours and 10 minutes not including the 30-40 minutes we spent at the top. This was a fantastic hike!!
Side note: My legs (quads and calves) and hip muscles hurt for the next 3 days but it was still worth it 🙂
