Beautiful hike, forest most of the way. There is a nice flat area through Manzinita from about 3.2-4.3 miles.Great views around every corner, still a little water at Limber spring, surprisingly cold for a nice splash off on the way down. Weather was perfect, mild with very little wind. One of the best maintained trails I've been on. biggest issue for me was the length, 8 miles down is hard on 58 yo knees, still made good time 8hr 38min total 7 hr 20 min moving. Will definitely do again.
