Gorgeous day for a peak hike, and the last peak of 2023 for the 6 pack of peaks! I did it 🙂 Getting to the trailhead parking was the hardest part (haha) because the road was very rough. I took it slow, but at times I wasn't sure my Honda CRV would make it. We started the hike at 6am and made it to the peak at 11am. We took a few snack breaks and stopped to see the Washington Monument. It was a nice gradual incline over 8 miles, so not tough just long. After spending 30 minutes at the peak enjoying the view we basically ran down to the bottom. We made it back to the car by 2pm and home in time for a dinner party celebrating my summit of Whitney a few weeks ago.
