This was my first SoCal peak, five to go.
The road where this hike was to take place was closed due to a bear attack, hikers were diverted to another location, parking was in residential neighborhood. This location added an additional 900′ of climbing. The trails were well groomed, lots of runners, seems to be a popular place to hike. Be sure to bring something to deflect bugs, ie. net, bug spray, a tastier friend for them to bug besides yourself, jk.
Beautiful hike, luckily no bear sighting, hope the person that was attack is okay.
