Quick jaunt STRAIGHT UP on a fire road to CuyamacaPeak with the sun beating down on us. We started at 45 degrees temp at 0730am, then quickly warmed up to 75 by 0900am.
Bonus though, good air quality.

Due to ongoing construction, the fire road to Cuyamaca Peak is only open to hikers and bikers when there are no construction vehicles present. So best bet to go is on a weekend. Go to Cuyamaca Rancho State Park website for more details.
