This was my last hike for the 6 peak challenge.  I  was not sure how long this one was going to take me, but I freed my whole day for the hike.  The trail was fairly easy to find, I used all trails, for the drive, and the actual hike.  The hike said it was  13 miles.  We ended up doing 14, we went off trail  when we were coming back down.   I didn't notice, it had notified me that I was off trail. But the map that all trails provides, is legit, there is some different trails along the way.  So I am glad I downloaded it before our  hike.  The day of the hike, was chilly and gloomy.  My friend and I both had jackets, and ended up taking them off about half way point.  But then once there was a mile left for the high point it got really cold, gloomy and windy, we were in the clouds.   So we put our jackets on, there was some really beautiful fews  along the way.  We did not see many hikers along the way.  But about 4 miles in, we started seeing lots, of jeeps and motorcycles passing through.  On the oak Grove trail that we followed there was lots of little rocks,  Overall great hike, If you do the Grove trail and your scared of heights, I would suggest the main trail.  The Oak trail gets really narrow for a couple of miles and you could see, it is a long way down. I had no  problem with it.  But my friend, was going really slow and she was holding on to me, on those parts of the trail, too keep herself calm, but once it connected to the big trail wheret the vehicles go up, she was fine.
