Mount Mansfield marked the culmination of an epic hiking journey in 2019. This was my 7th and final summit of the challenge. Each mountain was special in its own right. Each marked a special milestone.

For this hike I started by bushwacking an old section of the Long Trail SB (0.4 mi) from RT 108 not knowing the trail had been re-routed 2 years ago. From the summit of Mansfield I continued SB to the Profanity Trail. Followed this trail back to the LT which I then followed back to the road. Ended with a short road walk to the old LT trailhead near the Smuggler's Notch picnic area.

Challenge facts: 9 summits (Bear Mtn x3); 82.9 miles hiked as part of the challenge; 28,356 vertical feet climbed; One 2k footer (x3), one 3k, three 4k's, four 5k's and a 6k footer.

Now time to celebrate!!!
