We got an early start at Ice House Canyon, but even at 5:30 the parking lot was beginning to fill up. Once we got passed the saddle the crowds thinned out and we had the trail mostly to ourselves. After a miscommunication with my hiking partner led me to take a detour to Big Horn Peak while he had continued on to Ontario. All's well that end's well though as we both were able to summit both peaks…albeit not together.
About one mile till the summit of Ontario is some patches of snow, nothing that is too difficult to cross, but it was handy having trekking poles.
Early in the morning there was a slight chill in the air, but by mid morning the weather was perfect for hiking and the day never got hot. All and all a great hiking day.
