Mosquitoes will carry you away until right at the summit. The first two and a half miles were pleasantly climbing then work began after crossing over the PCT. The scenery was lovely, watch for poison oak in the beginning. We had great views! Another gorgeous day in Central Oregon with the exception of the smoke off in the distance. This is not a popular trail. For being a Saturday, there was a small work crew cutting trees across the trail, and two other lone hikers for the entire trip. It took us 8 and a half hours with spending almost an hour at the summit having food and relaxing.

It’s great to have a quiet trail on a beautiful, clear day. Congratulations, @picklesontrails!
