We started at 6 and the weather was great. About 4.5 miles in as it got steeper our group slowed down and the heat began to get to us. We managed to avoid getting stung passing the beehive about 3/4 of the way up. One of our members got very overheated and another got poison oak through her hiking pants, but we all made it to the top. It’s a beautiful hike but a challenging one. Be prepared with 3L of water and a sun hat.
