We had a very chilly start (the drive through Warner Springs area said 29 degrees) but we warmed up really quick on the first 2-mile climb! It was a quiet day on the trail, we only saw 1 other hiker on our way down, and 4 mountain bikers total. The summit was windy and cold, and unfortunately we didn't see the ranger at the top of the tower this year. It's always fun talking with them. It was a long hike with quite a bit of climbing. I'm happy we can check this one off the list! Although it is a beautiful hike!
