Cool and sunny winter morning. It was cool for the first mile and a half while in the trees. A couple of downed trees made for some early morning limbo. Once we got onto the fire road it is exposed with ample sunshine and great views. Literally a 360 degree panorama. We could see future Peak challenge desitinations of Mt Diablo and Mt Tam. We even spotted some snow covered Sierra Mtn off in the distant East. A relatively easy hike when the tempatures are reasonable. Definatley a hike to avoid on a summer or Fall afternoon.
