A favorite hike for my 13-month old Pyrenean Shepherd mix! She got to stare longingly at the cows (each maintaining a safe distance from the other), stand her ground with a steer (who could barely be bothered with her), overindulge in cow patties (there were sooo many and she was so quick) and scramble up the rocks at the summit. I didn't have such a bad time either. It's a fairly steady uphill climb with just enough not-too-steep sections to make it quite manageable. Although the sun didn't appear while on the summit, the clouds made the green of the hills stand out. Didn't come across too many people as we made our way up, but once we got to the base of the summit (where the other trail coming up merges with our trail), it got a bit more crowded. It was a lovely hike and worth the drive over from the Peninsula.
