Did a hike up mission in broad daylight on a hot day to test some camera stuff including a new lens. Good hike, wide trails, crowds didn’t seem bad. But the hot weather and full exposure with virtually no shade made it a little tougher than it needed to be.

    How were the crowds? We went up the Sunday before you and I didn’t even attempt to get a photo at the siting pole — the line was too long!

    Crowds weren’t bad at all. Only 3 others on top. Few dozen others scattered on the trail. The heat was pretty intense so I think that helped thin the crowds.
