We started our hike around 8am – the Bay Area Ridge Trail Head start was just north of the main Robert Luis Stevenson parking lot. It was mostly fire trails the whole way, nothing spectacular there, but views of the fog hovering over the rolling tree lined mountains were breathtaking. There are also a couple faces on the trail with permanent anchors for top roping. Some great photo opportunities at the summit. Also lots of satellites and power lines.  I would highly recommend leaving early, it was getting warm on our descent in the 11-12 range, and will continue to get warmer as we get closer to Summer. We logged 11 miles from start to finish.
