Mount Baldy. #5 of the Original Six-Pack. Route: the loop – up Manker Flats, past the Notch, and Devil’s Backbone, down Baldy Bowl. By no means the highest of the six but the highest peak in Los Angeles County. I am sad that the sixth and lowest peak, Mount Wilson, is closed (currently until 2022!) due to recent fires. Lessons in not saving the easiest for last. Will find a way.
