It was a nice day but there was some cloud cover as I drove closer to the trailhead. I was nervous that there wouldn’t be any views, but once I got above the clouds – wow! There was a little bit of smoke-haze off in the distance but it didn’t detract from the gorgeous views at all. The hike itself was great, the trail wasn’t too busy. By the time I was hiking down, the clouds had burned off entirely and there were a lot of peek-a-views through the trees that I couldn’t see on the way up. I logged 10 miles.
