This hike was humbling. Despite checking the weather and otherwise being prepared, I felt uneasy, which usually isn't the case, and had thoughts about turning around several times. Above treeline, the weather made the scramble slippery and visibility was near nothing. I made it up Tuckerman's Ravine to Lion Head and eventually up to the summit but conditions took a quick turn and hiking down wasn't safe. I'll have to return bc I had my heart set on hitting Lakes of the Cloud and Monroe, but the mountain isn't going anywhere and making it down safely so I can have a second go took priority. Props to the guy who spotted me a few bucks to ride the hiker shuttle down. There are still good people in the world.
