  • We hiked the loop starting at the Chantry Flats campground at around 06:15, and up through Sturtevant trail. We walked around the top and looked through the telescope area on our way if looking for a summit sign “whick I don't thing there is one”. We started down the Wilson Trail headed for home. Took a break what happened to be for cut off for chantry flats. I wasn't paying attention to my Gaia GPS route and continued down Wilson Trail for an extra mile +. We turned around and got back on the right track, and then we did it again at the fork for Hoegees camp, whick either way will take you home, but not the way we had set out. After the extra mileage and adventures we got back to the car at 17:15 with 17 miles under our belt.   A little nervousness getting back before sun down but we had a good time with clear trails and great weather.
