This trail was just insane. We had to go through literally 40 switchbacks to get to the peak. Despite that, the view was really beautiful along the way and it was nice and shaded throughout the whole hike (even though it was cold af when we went). We had to take (more than) a few breaks because the hoomans just couldn’t handle it. The last stretch to the peak kind of looked like Devil’s Backbone if you’ve ever hiked Mt. Baldy before. The view at the peak is incredible; you get a 360 view of the surrounding mountain ranges and you can see Mt. Baldy right across.

The path on this trail was narrow so it was kind of hard to find space to let people pass. However, there’s not really a lot of people so it wasn’t too bad. Mochi (our pup) had lots of fun on this trail; he was able to go off-leash most of the time because there was not a lot of dogs. We probably saw only about 4 dogs total.

To park at the official parking lot, you’d need to get an Adventure Pass. We got there at 7am and the lot was surprisingly already almost full. However, we did see a number of cars parked across the parking lot or next to it. You don’t need the Adventure Pass if you dod that but do so at your own risk.
