5/5/2021. Very, very few hikers today & by the time we saw them, it was almost near or at the peak. The altitude got to me mildly so I was trailing behind my group but it's all good because it felt like I had the mountain to myself. Loved the serenity, the birds' singing, the tall pine trees along the trail which provided the forest feel & shades as it warmed up quickly as the sun was rising. Nice cool breeze was a welcome delight. The trail was generally snow free except at the last few feet before the saddle though walkable or you can easily go around it.
