Today I hiked Mt. Baldy…which is my 2nd of the 6 peaks this week. The trail conditions going up were clearly marked and easy to follow. The walk across “Devil's Backbone” wasn't scary, like I had heard it can be. The weather in the morning was cool and perfect. Things did warm up to around 89 degrees by the afternoon. The condition on the summit was rather calm, with only light breezes. I had packed and prepared for  much colder weather at the summit, but it was pleasant. Overall, I found the hike to be very challenging and did experience some of the effects of the higher altitude. However, I took a break, ate a little snack, hydrated, and forged on!
