My fellow 6Peakers, Amy and Netty, and I had the pleasure of joining the Phil's Summit Team group who were out prepping for Mt. Whitney and Cactus to Clouds.

The day was quite eventful.
There was a cross-country team of 13-year olds crushing the trail.
Gotta hang for a bit with 72-year old Mt. Baldy icon Ranger Dan on his 1,560-something-th summit of the peak.
Search and Rescue were out en masse to try and resolve some of the harsh winter's mountain tragedies.
And we had great weather which is weirdly becoming unusual to say in Southern California.

Phil's team stopped at the restaurant for beers and burgers and a ride down the lift. Quite the temptation but we soldiered on down the fire road to complete the hike.
