Mt. Diablo

Trailhead:

Summit Trail – Curry Point

Type of Hike:

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Minor obstacles posing few problems

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

No bugs

Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

I started the hike at Curry Point just before 10am and utilized the Summit Trail.  About a quarter mile in, there was an oak tree down across the trail, but I was able to crawl under.  About two miles in, the trail was super muddy…stepped in a mud hole which sucked my shoe right off.  About a mile from the summit, the trail was snow covered which just made for a slower ascent.
