Sunset on Humphreys Peak; this was the hike of a life time! We started at about 10:30 AM at the road closure before Lockett Meadow. The weather was great and the recently fallen aspen trees provided a golden forested floor to hike through. We reached the peak at 5:30, just in time to watch the sun set over AZ. We headed back down in the dark and stoped for a while in inner basin to look at the stars. With the road closure this made for one crazy hike; 26 miles 5500 feet of gain in 12 hours.
